CBD Oil Faqs
Many of our CBD oil tinctures have different concentrations depending on your preference. This means that they will differ in milligrams. However, when taking a CBD oil tincture we recommend:
1. Squeezing the rubber end of the graduated dropper
2. Fill it halfway, then place the CBD oil under your tongue for ~30 seconds (this allows for faster absorption)
3. It may take 1-2 hours to experience full effects.You may take more as needed, but most say that 1-2 times a day is sufficient. If you’re new to CBD products, you can also fill the dropper only half-full to see how you like the feeling before dosing up.
For daily inflammation / stressors, take as needed throughout the day. For best results take the same dosage for 3 to 5 days; increase dosage if desired effects aren’t achieved.

Our endocannabinoid systems are involved in regulating a wide range of processes inside our bodies including mood, appetite, sleep, and pain.
There are over 100 different cannabinoids found in cannabis, and they all have different roles and effects. The most well known and researched cannabinoids are CBD, THC, CBG, and CBN.
Calm- Full spectrum CBD oil that has added Linalool terpenes (cannabis derived) for extra relaxation/anxiety/sleep help. We use extract from our Relaxing hemp varieties to produce our Calm Oil!
Balance- Full spectrum CBD oil with 0 added terpenes (as if we juiced and bottled the plant how it is) best taken as needed throughout the day for relief without getting any extra “calmness” or “energy”. We use extract from our Stabilizing hemp varieties to produce our Balance Oil!
Energize- Full spectrum CBD oil with added Limonene terpenes for uplifting effects to keep you naturally focused and energized. We use extract from our Uplifting hemp varieties to produce our Energize Oil!
This is one of the most common questions that people ask us. Can I fail a drug test from taking a full-spectrum CBD product? What if I accidentally take too much? Will I get high? You can see how paranoia stemming from online rumors and misconceptions can be a major obstacle to overcome before considering CBD as a viable path along your wellness journey.
The reality is that it’s very unlikely that you would ever fail a drug test due to CBD use, especially under normal usage circumstances. Although full-spectrum CBD products include trace amounts of THC, all reputable sellers ensure their products meet the federal guidelines of containing less than 0.3% THC by weight. This ensures that the product could never get you high. That being said, never buy CBD products from a brand or store that doesn’t offer lab results for their products.
Although it technically is possible to fail a drug test due to CBD, it is unlikely even under extreme circumstances (regularly consuming 100+ mg daily for multiple months). Nevertheless, at PURE we would recommend not consuming CBD if you must pass a drug test.
Topical CBD products, like lotions or balms, are applied directly to your skin and are not ingested orally. With these, there is no risk of failing a drug test because the cannabinoids in the product do not enter your bloodstream. Rather, they stay in the two layers of skin closest to the surface: the epidermis and dermis. Despite not being absorbed into the users bloodstream, CBD topical products can provide targeted relief for a number of ailments.
Yes! CBD is considered legal in most states due to the 2018 Farm Bill. This bill was introduced to specify how much hemp was deemed legal to use. Anything under 0.3% THC is considered legal to possess, sell, and consume. However, any product over 0.3% THC is still considered to be marijuana and is federally illegal.
It’s important to check your state guidelines to better understand how your state classifies CBD products in relation to the legal percentage of products containing THC.
If a CBD product is over 0.3% THC then it is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance according to the FDA. This means that anything over that amount is not federally legal, and the regulation goes state by state then.
What is CBD?
CBD is a naturally occurring compound or phytocannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It’s gained popularity for its variety of benefits. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that will NOT get you high. CBD is the most abundant cannabinoid in hemp plants.
Will CBD get me high?
No. Our CBD oil will not get you high. This is because our products have trace concentrations of THC, less than the legally required 0.3%. This means that you can enjoy the effects of CBD without feeling high or euphoric as with a higher THC product. We also test our Pure products internally and use third-party testing to ensure you safely enjoy your CBD experience.
CBD interacts with your Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is responsible for regulating things like sleep, pain, stress, hunger, and more. We have naturally occurring cannabinoids in our bodies, and CBD is a phyto-cannabinoid ("phyto" meaning from plants) that helps support that system that's already in place. When should I try CBD?
CBD is generally well tolerated for daily use. You can always start with a smaller dose (half a gummy or half the dropper amount for a tincture) and then work up to a higher one.
